Following the completion of the Campus Masterplan for Kent Ridge and Warren at the National University of Singapore, RSP developed the urban design guidelines for the School of Engineering, Campus Sports Hub, Kent Ridge Crescent, Kent Ridge Drive, and Warren Residential College. RSP also provided the architectural designs of three key buildings on campus, namely the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, NUS’s Cultural Centre, and the University Hall.
The University hall is designed to be architecturally inspiring and innovative, the 2 wings interlock and connect together at the 2nd-storey via a linear bridge which also functions as an interactive space. Spatially, the building has maximum transparency and views with daylight penetration through skylight and clear glazed curtain walls giving a predominantly light and airy feel.
